Funded by UNICEF, the project supports Ministry of Health- Zanzibar, to promote preventative measures for Covid-19 and to generate demand for the Covid-19 vaccines. This includes addressing risk perception, knowledge barriers and myths and misconception that affect adherence to preventative measures and uptake of the vaccines. To communicate these lifesaving messages, the project works through community structures including Shehas, Shehia Women and Children’s groups, Youth Groups, Faith Leaders, local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Community Health Volunteers, Health care workers and media houses.
