Sensitization Meeting to People with Disabilities in Zanzibar

In promoting COVID-19 vaccine uptake in Zanzibar, the Ministry of Health Zanzibar through the Health Promotion Unit (HPU) in collaboration with T-MARC Tanzania and UNICEF support continue to engage communities through special groups of people with disabilities and marginalized by providing COVID-19 preventive measures including vaccine uptake. In this reporting period, 200 members were reached, of that total, 94 were vaccinated. Furthermore, different preventive and promoting messages on psychosocial mental wellbeing and dealing with stress, and anxiety around the COVID-19 vaccine were addressed.
